Stand Order

  1. Registration is only considered valid once the organizer has received a fully completed and signed exhibition agreement or acceptance has been received via email. Registration is binding, and the exhibitor is liable for the total stand rental and registration fee. The organizer may, without providing a reason, cancel registrations without incurring liability for compensation. Payments made by credit card will incur an additional fee of NOK 150.

  2. The organizer determines the stand's location but considers the exhibitor's preferences.

  3. Unless otherwise agreed or a different procedure is followed, the organizer's receivables must be paid as follows: registration and stand rental are invoiced approximately eight weeks before the exhibition starts and must be fully paid within ten days, unless otherwise agreed in writing. After this date, the organizer reserves the right to lease the stand area to other exhibitors.

  4. a) Failure to meet payment terms will result in the loss of the allocated stand area, and any outstanding amounts will be sent to collection. In such cases, the organizer has the right to reassign the allocated stand area at the exhibitor's expense.
    b) If the exhibitor, despite having paid for the stand rental, cannot/will not participate/does not show up at the exhibition, the stand will be reassigned to the organizer at 08:00 on the opening day. No refund of the registration and stand rental fees will be provided.
    c) All invoices are subject to an administrative fee of NOK 65. Orders under NOK 20,000 excluding VAT will incur an environmental fee of NOK 69, while orders over NOK 20,000 excluding VAT will incur an environmental fee of NOK 136.

  5. Subleasing of stand areas is only permitted with written approval from Compass Fairs AS.

  6. a) Standard stands include side and back walls adjacent to neighboring stands, as well as a front beam. The stand can have 1–3 open sides, depending on its location.
    b) Open stands (islands) are delivered without walls.
    c) Outdoor stands are fully constructed by the exhibitor. Furnishings and equipment for the stand are not included in the stand rental price.

  7. Stands with two floors or structures exceeding the standard wall height of 2.5 meters must be approved in writing by the organizer in advance. Costs for wall extensions adjacent to neighboring stands must be anticipated. The price per square meter for the second floor is 50% of the standard square meter price.

  8. The organizer reserves the right to close registrations or reduce the allocated area if the exhibition is fully booked early. Stand areas will be allocated as far as possible within the different product groups.

  9. The organizer has the right to change the timing of the exhibition without the contracts being subject to annulment. Notice of such changes will be sent to exhibitors no later than one calendar month before the originally scheduled date.

  10. Only registered goods and services may be displayed at the exhibition. Exhibited products may not be removed from the stand during the exhibition period without the organizer's written consent. The organizer reserves the right, without providing a reason, to remove displayed goods and services that are not covered by the main themes of the exhibition.

  11. Posters, etc., may not be placed outside the allocated stand area. Active sales, samples, and promotional materials may only be conducted from the exhibitor's stand. It is not permitted to conduct active sales in the aisle areas and/or distribute promotional materials outside the entrance to the exhibition hall. Violations will incur a fee of NOK 3,000 excluding VAT.

  12. a) Demonstrations, sample distributions, use of AV equipment, intrusive odors, voice amplifiers, etc., must not disturb neighboring stands or the surroundings. Complaints should be directed to the organizer, who has final authority.
    b) It is not permitted to sell food and/or beverages from or at the stand without prior approval from the organizer. Preparation or distribution of samples must be approved by the organizer well in advance of the exhibition.

  13. a) Setting up private WiFi networks in exhibition venues is prohibited. Wireless routers or access points will be confiscated without notice, as they degrade the existing wireless network for other exhibitors.
    b) Balloons filled with helium are not allowed at Boligmesse. Animals are not permitted in the exhibition halls.

  14. Exhibitors selling goods or services at the exhibition must be registered in the VAT Register. Foreign exhibitors selling products/services directly to consumers must be registered with the Norwegian Tax Administration through a VAT-liable Norwegian representative. Non-EU/EEA exhibitors selling items directly to consumers must have work permits under applicable regulations.

  15. Exhibitor information and an online store for ordering stand equipment are available in our online store, along with Terms & Conditions for rental.

  16. The exhibitor is responsible for damages caused to buildings, furnishings, installations, and people. Instructions from authorities and the organizer must be strictly followed.

  17. Circumstances beyond the organizer's control, such as interruptions in the supply of electricity, water, heating, telecommunication, and data lines, as well as situations considered force majeure (fire, natural disasters, pandemics, etc.), do not entitle the exhibitor to compensation or refunds of stand rental.

  18. The organizer provides security during setup, exhibition, and dismantling but accepts no responsibility for exhibited goods, equipment, or third-party property. The exhibitor must independently insure all necessary items, including cases where Compass Fairs AS staff handle products or goods.

  19. a) The exhibitor is responsible for transport, setup, dismantling, storage, packing, and removal of their exhibition. All goods must be clearly labeled with the exhibitor's name, stand number, and location.
    b) The exhibitor must adhere to the exhibition's setup times. If the stand is not dismantled and cleared by the deadline, the organizer may do so at the exhibitor's expense and risk.

  20. The organizer ensures the cleaning of indoor public areas. Cleaning of the exhibitor's stand must be ordered separately and will be carried out at the exhibitor's expense.

  21. If the weight of goods and equipment exceeds 400 kg/m², this must be reported in advance. The exhibitor must cover any costs for necessary reinforcements. The organizer reserves the right to reject particularly heavy exhibition items.

  22. Dismantling during the exhibition's opening hours is not permitted. Violations will incur a fee of NOK 3,000.

  23. All photos/videos taken by the organizer during the exhibition period may be used in the organizer's marketing without consent.

  24. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the exhibition, provided there is a valid reason. Valid reasons include an insufficient number of exhibitors or anticipated low public attendance. Before cancellation, registered exhibitors will, as far as possible, be allowed to provide input. In case of cancellation, registration and stand rental fees will be refunded. Any other costs or labor incurred by the exhibitor will not be reimbursed.

  25. The exhibitor is required to comply with Norwegian laws and obtain any necessary permits from the relevant authorities for the exhibition.

  26. The organizer disclaims any responsibility for errors in printed or electronic informational material about the exhibition.

Compass Fairs AS has the right to use subcontractors as necessary. Services not included in the written agreement between the parties will be invoiced separately.

4. Ownership of Design Sketches
All design sketches, concept drawings, and visual representations created by Compass Fairs AS for the customer remain the exclusive property of Compass Fairs AS. The customer has no right to reproduce, distribute, modify, or share such sketches with third parties, including competitors or other suppliers, without prior written consent from Compass Fairs AS.

5. Delivery
The exhibition stand will be delivered/transferred to the customer as agreed before the start of the exhibition. The customer is responsible for obtaining insurance for any damage to their own goods after delivery. See section 11 for special exhibition conditions.

6. Price
Prices are determined according to the offer or invoicing. Compass Fairs AS reserves the right to adjust prices with a valid justification and prior notice. All prices are exclusive of technical orders, local storage, transport, and VAT.

7. Payment Terms
Payment is due net within 10 days from the invoice date. In case of late payment, an interest charge of 1.5% per commenced month from the due date will apply.

Unless otherwise agreed, Compass Fairs AS invoices 50% upon sending the order confirmation and the remaining 50% after the exhibition concludes.

Compass Fairs AS reserves the right to withhold services in the event of non-payment. If graphic or media files from the customer are received later than 30 days before the first installation day, an additional charge of 25% for graphic and media services will apply.

8. Cancellation
If an exhibition stand is canceled less than 5 months before the exhibition start date, Compass Fairs AS has the right to invoice 50% of the agreed price. If cancellation occurs one month or less before the exhibition start date, 100% of the agreed price will be invoiced. However, Compass Fairs AS will always make reasonable efforts to minimize the customer’s costs.

9. Limitation of Liability
Claims for damages against Compass Fairs AS can never exceed the invoiced amount, excluding VAT, for the specific service unless statutory product liability applies. Compass Fairs AS is not liable for delivery failures due to force majeure, including, but not limited to: war, fire, natural disasters, labor disputes, material shortages, import/export restrictions, transport issues, civil unrest, delays or errors from subcontractors, legal or currency-related restrictions, and similar circumstances.

Compass Fairs AS is not liable for consequential damages or indirect losses, including lost profits, time losses, or other financial losses. No compensation is given for printing errors or translation mistakes related to technical terms.

When storing and transporting customer materials, the customer is responsible for obtaining insurance.

In electronic communication (email, SMS, websites, etc.) between Compass Fairs AS and the customer, Compass Fairs AS disclaims responsibility for security and cannot be held liable for damages.

10. Deficiencies
Any errors or deficiencies must be reported immediately upon discovery so that Compass Fairs AS has the opportunity to correct them. If the deficiency results from a lack of information from the customer, any additional costs incurred will be invoiced.

11. Complaints
The customer is responsible for thoroughly inspecting the stand and equipment upon receipt. Any complaints must be submitted immediately. Specially ordered or customized items are non-returnable. Standard items may be returned only by special agreement if they do not meet written order requirements.

12. Special Conditions for Exhibitions
The customer is responsible for insuring exhibited goods during both transport and the exhibition. The customer is also responsible for transport costs for their own materials, as well as personal travel expenses, insurance, and accommodation.

Compass Fairs AS is not liable for delays in the delivery of shared stand materials but will always seek to source alternative materials from the exhibition venue.

13. Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising between the lessee and Compass Fairs AS shall be resolved through negotiations between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved in this manner, it shall be settled through arbitration or a court of law at the lessor’s discretion.

Equipment Rental

  1. The lessor will deliver the ordered products to the lessee's stand before the exhibition starts unless otherwise agreed. The rental period ends when the exhibition closes. The lessee will be charged for the entire rental period, regardless of whether the equipment was used for the full period. The lessee may not sublease the products to a third party without the lessor's written consent. The lessor may, for a valid reason, require the rental products to be returned earlier than stated above.

  2. The lessee is responsible for the equipment while it is in their custody. Any damages or defects occurring during the rental period will be charged to the lessee.

  3. The lessor is obligated to provide the ordered rental products at the agreed time and place for the lessee’s use. The rental products must be in good condition.
The lessee forfeits the right to claim non-performance, whether for defects or delays, if they do not notify the lessor within a reasonable time after discovering or should have discovered the issue. If the lessor fails to fulfill their obligations under the agreement, the lessee may request the lessor to rectify the defect, provided this does not cause unreasonable costs or inconvenience to the lessor. Even if the lessee does not request it, the lessor may, at their own expense, rectify the defect or provide a replacement if this does not cause significant inconvenience to the lessee.
If rectification or replacement is not possible or is not completed within a reasonable time after the lessee has complained about the defect, the lessee may claim a proportional price reduction. In the case of significant non-performance, the lessee may terminate the rental agreement. However, the lessee cannot terminate the agreement unless they notify the lessor of the termination within a reasonable time after they became or should have become aware of the non-performance.

  4. The equipment must remain at the stand when the exhibition ends. The equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered unless otherwise agreed in advance. If the equipment is not returned in good condition, the lessee will be charged for repair, cleaning, or replacement costs.

  5. Our ordering pages are available well in advance of the event. A specific ordering deadline is set for each event to ensure good service and efficient planning for equipment delivery. Orders placed after the deadline require additional work, new planning, and adjustments to transportation/logistics, and will therefore incur a higher price (minimum 30% surcharge). Changes to quantities for orders made before the deadline can be made without a surcharge.

  6. Within the ordering deadline (see item 5), the lessee has a cancellation period of five business days after placing the order. If canceled after the ordering deadline, the ordered equipment will still be charged even if not used by the lessee. The lessor cannot guarantee the delivery of items ordered after the event's ordering deadline. Overbooking is also subject to reservation.

  7. All prices are exclusive of VAT. Price changes are subject to reservation.
The prices in the webshop apply only to the specific event and for exhibitors participating in that event. Some events may include additional shipping costs, which will be specified in the project details.

  8. a) The customer agrees that Compass Fairs AS may charge for the services ordered by the customer. Administration and environmental fees will be added to the invoice. Please note that credit card payments will incur an additional fee of NOK 150.
    b) For larger deliveries (orders and productions) with a value exceeding NOK 50,000, partial payment (on-account invoicing) will be required at the start.
    c) General payment terms for lessees with a Norwegian organization number are 10 days. Other customers will be invoiced in advance.

Any dispute arising between the lessee and the lessor shall be resolved through negotiations between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved in this manner, it shall be settled by arbitration or a court chosen by the lessor.

Advertising

  1. An advertisement order is only considered valid when the organizer, hereafter referred to as the publisher, has received an order confirmation and accepted it via email.
The advertisement order is binding, and the exhibitor is liable for the value of the advertisement.
The publisher may reject the advertisement order without incurring liability for compensation if the advertisement content violates Norwegian law or ethical guidelines. The publisher determines the advertisement's placement unless otherwise specified in the order confirmation but will consider the advertiser's preferences.

  2. Advertisement materials must be delivered to the publisher according to the specifications provided in the order confirmation and within the specified deadline.
If the publisher is to create/produce the advertisement, a production surcharge for graphic work will apply. All materials produced by the publisher will be sent to the advertiser for approval before printing. It is the advertiser's responsibility to approve the proof within the given deadline.
The publisher assumes no responsibility for received final materials or advertisement materials submitted after the material deadline.

  3. The advertisement cost, including any production costs, will be invoiced approximately 11 days before the exhibition opens and is due in full 14 days later. An administration fee of NOK 65 will be added to the invoice.
Advertisements ordered simultaneously with exhibition registration will be invoiced approximately 8 weeks before the exhibition starts, along with the exhibition organizer's costs, and are due in full 10 days later.
Failure to meet the payment terms will result in outstanding amounts being sent to collection.

  4. The publisher reserves the right to change the release date of the exhibition newspaper without allowing the advertisement order to be canceled. Notice of changes to the release date will be sent to the advertiser no later than one (1) calendar month before the originally scheduled date.
The advertiser is required to be registered in the VAT Register. A foreign advertiser selling products/services directly to consumers must also be registered with the Norwegian Tax Administration through a VAT-liable Norwegian representative. Foreign advertisers not covered by EEA regulations and advertising directly to consumers must have a work permit under applicable regulations.

  5. Circumstances beyond the publisher's control, such as situations considered force majeure, do not entitle the advertiser to claim compensation or refunds for advertisement costs.
In the event of errors in the advertisement caused by the publisher, the advertiser cannot claim compensation beyond the cost of the advertisement.

  6. The publisher reserves the right not to cancel the release of the exhibition newspaper, provided there is a valid reason.
Before canceling, the advertiser must be informed no later than 14 days before the exhibition starts, allowing the advertiser to take alternative marketing actions.
In the event of cancellation, any paid advertisement costs will be refunded. Costs incurred by the advertiser related to the advertisement will not be refunded.

The publisher disclaims any liability for errors in printed or electronic informational materials about the exhibition.
