Sustainability in Compass Fairs

What do we want to achieve

We work for health, safety, and the environment in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through careful planning and continuous improvement, we take responsibility for the environment in all our projects. We choose environmentally friendly materials, use resources efficiently, and create value through solutions that contribute to a sustainable future.

For us, sustainability is an ongoing process. Small but important steps every day help us improve, even if the work is never truly finished.

Transparency Act

We comply with the Norwegian Transparency Act as of July 1, 2022, which requires larger companies to report on human rights and working conditions. We have clear procedures and ethical guidelines that require our suppliers and partners to respect human rights, labor standards, and environmental responsibility.

We regularly assess risks related to our operations and partners and take action to achieve specific goals.

For us at Compass Fairs, 2020 was an important milestone, as we received our Eco Lighthouse certification, the visible proof of our efforts in sustainability.

This confirms that we have taken important steps towards a green and sustainable future. But it does not stop there, we are committed to continuously improving our climate and environmental work, with requirements in the areas of work environment, waste, energy, procurement and transport, to contribute to a greener footprint.

Eco Lighthouse is a recognized and effective tool for certification and environmental management, and Norway's most widely used certificate for businesses that want to document their environmental efforts and demonstrate social responsibility. Read more: www.miliefyrtarn.no

What do Compass Fairs do?

We follow the Transparency Act which requires companies of significant size to report on human rights and working conditions. We have developed our own procedures that meet the requirements of the law and through our Code of Ethics we impose requirements on our suppliers and partners. Compass Fairs continuously works to implement measures to achieve specific goals.

Expectations of accountability of suppliers and business partners

We aim for our suppliers and partners to sign our Supplier Code of Conduct, on respecting human rights, labour standards and environmental responsibility. This should ensure that they meet the same standards that we set for our own business.

We are constantly working to assess the risks associated with the Company's activities and the use of our business associates (suppliers and partners).
